EMERGENCE at Turner contemporary, Margate

‘Emergence’, a new piece of work by Film Club director, Em Cooper, will be screening at the Turner Contemporary, Margate, on Friday evening this week, 20th April, as part of their 1st anniversary celebrations.

The piece is a collaboration with composer Jim Perkins, and combines Em's signature style, oil-painted animation with Jim Perkins’ score, which will be sung by soprano Red Gray, to the projection in the gallery.

It will be performed 3 times during the evening between 6 and 10pm. The piece is inspired by the philosophical concept of Emergence, and can be read as a meditation on the creative process...

You are very much invited, if you happen to feel like a spontaneous Friday-night trip to the seaside on the high speed train (only an hour from london!)...
